That Halo Glow

A Laser Treatment That Meets Your Unique Needs

Turn back the clock and step into the spotlight with confidence and bright, clear skin with the Halo Laser! The Halo Hybrid Fractional Laser is the world’s first customizable laser, combining both ablative and non-ablative laser wavelengths into one handheld device. With traditional laser treatments, clients typically have to choose from ablative, more invasive treatments with longer downtimes and non-ablative treatments that may not be as effective. With the Halo Laser Vero Beach patients can customize your procedure to achieve your unique skin care goals. The Halo laser minimizes downtime while still helping you achieve that smooth, bright, and youthful glow. With a Halo treatment at Ocean Drive Dermatology, you will see a dramatic reduction in skin discoloration, sunspots, fine lines, wrinkles, and more. This customizable laser works for all skin types to improve skin texture and clarity.

Our medical providers recommend one to two Halo treatments in your first year and then making the Halo Hybrid Fractional Laser treatment part of your skincare maintenance once a year, depending on your skin’s needs.

Your Halo Treatment

Your Halo Hybrid Fractional Laser Procedure

On the day of treatment, you will arrive first for your nursing appointment. The nurse will have you review the consents and aftercare guidelines. Then a powerful topical numbing agent is applied to your face for 45 minutes to one hour. You will then be able to relax in one of our patient rooms. Feel free to bring a book or iPad to pass the time. After the numbing is complete, your face will be cleaned, and then you will be ready for the treatment. The Halo treatment of the face can be as quick as 15 minutes, depending on the settings. Once completed, we will review your aftercare and have you schedule a follow-up appointment.

Minimal Downtime and Collagen Induction

Baby Halo

Baby Halo is now our standard corrective Halo (ablative and non-ablative) laser treatment that removes brown spots, stimulates collagen, and helps correct wrinkles. We are using only the non-ablative settings for Baby Halo at a much lower density to help stimulate collagen. We use this mainly for our 20 to 40-year-old patients for pre-rejuvenation. The benefits of Baby Halo are a very minimal downtime and collagen induction. Most patients are healed in a few days and get the anti-aging benefits of collagen production! We love combining this with dilute Radiesse filler, as it also stimulates collagen the entire time it is in your skin.

Turn Back the Clock

Halo Hybrid Fractional Laser Results

A Halo Laser treatment is a total skin revitalization treatment. The appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and large pores will be reduced, there will be significant removal of skin discoloration, and your skin will be glowing. To ensure optimal results, we offer a Halo+ package which includes Platelet-Rich Plasma, two Red LightStim treatments to speed your recovery, and a Signature Ocean Drive Dermatology Facial 60 to 90 days post-Halo treatment to really get your skin glowing. Your body’s own Platelet-Rich Plasma is applied directly to your skin during the Halo treatment. This will help accelerate your healing and turbocharge your results by further boosting your body’s own collagen production. You will see remarkable results within days that will continue to improve over time.

A Quick Recovery

Halo Hybrid Fractional Laser Recovery and Aftercare

Unlike traditional laser resurfacing, which can include a recovery time of up to a month, recovery from a Halo Laser procedure is about one week. We provide all your aftercare products as part of your Halo laser package, including a moisturizer, face wash, and sunscreen. We only use physician-grade post-care products from our MedSpa. After the first 24 hours have passed, the treated skin will begin to slough off as new healthy skin comes to the surface.

You may want some social downtime for a few days as your skin is regenerating, but you will be able to resume normal daily activities as desired. We also include a Red LightStim treatment 24 hours after your procedure to reduce inflammation and speed up your recovery. The aggressiveness of your treatment dictates the type of recovery you will have. Generally, patients are fully recovered in five to seven days.

Halo Hybrid Fractional Laser Frequently Asked Questions

How many Halo treatments will I need?

I always tell my patients that I want them to have better-looking skin a decade from now than they do today. One of the ways to achieve this is to repeat Halo treatments throughout the years. Although each patient is unique, my general rule of thumb is as follows. I recommend one to two Halo treatments within the first six months, depending on the treatment goals. Thereafter, I recommend at least one per year. Remember that Halo stimulates collagen and elastin fibers.

Additional Reading

These two things help hold up your skin and plump it up. You want to start compounding those results, and that is achievable by repeating Halo every year. And don’t forget that we can customize the treatment each time. If you want a more aggressive treatment in one session and a mild treatment the next, Halo can be customized to do that and still provide results.

Is the Halo procedure painful?

Thankfully, no. Traditional laser was not a fun process for the patient. The good news is Halo is nothing like that. Most patients tell me the pain is a one or two out of ten. Typically, I will have a conversation with the patient throughout the entire treatment. Some patients will feel their skin gets very warm during treatment, and this lasts about two hours. The good news is we provide cooling throughout the entire treatment to make the treatment as comfortable as possible. On the rare occasion that the patient is uncomfortable, we do offer Pro-Nox.

What does the Halo Laser treat?

  • Sun Damage (brown spots)
  • Fine lines
  • Softens deeper lines
  • Evens skin tone
  • Reduces pore size
  • Revises scars
  • Restores the luminous skin reflectivity or “glow” you previously had
  • Produces collagen and elastin for upwards of one year post-treatment
